Manufacturing in FP7 Conference

Building on the outstanding success of its predecessor of 2007, The Manufacturing in FP7 Conference aims to provide indepth information about the manufacturing topics addressed in both Theme 3 (Information and Communication Technologies - ICT) and Theme 4 (Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new Production Technologies - NMP) of the European Union's 7th Framework Programme, FP7 which will run for seven years starting 1 January 2007. FP7 is designed to build on the achievements of its predecessor, FP6 towards the creation of the European Research Area, and carry it further towards the development of the knowledge economy and society in Europe.

I*PROMS special session at IMS seminar

A special 2-day session on key technologies was organized by I*PROMS during IMS Seminar entitled Strategies for Global Manufacturing: A European View of IMS. The event took place in Zurich, Switzerland from 15 to 16 November 2007. 10 members from I*PROMS contributed presentations to the event. At the end of the session, a report was compiled summarizing the outcome and recommending actions for international collaboration under the IMS Initiative.

I*PROMS PAC DELPHI WORKSHOP

A two day workshop open to the members of the IPROMS NoE to be held in Senlis on 13 & 14 March 2008. The target is the completion of the Delphi, meaning the execution of the second round interview and the interpretation of the results. The issues of the workshop activities will contribute to the establishment of a common strategy/approach for the second-phase Industrial Delphi study covering PAC cluster research areas. During the workshop all the results will be compiled for distribution among the cluster for further evaluation.
