Virtual Enterprise and Dynamic Reconfiguration for Manufacturing Systems - Training Course

Competitiveness, innovativeness and sustainability are critical requirements in nowadays and future Manufacturing Systems. Dynamic Reconfigurability of the Manufacturing Systems is a sine qua non condition to meet these requirements. This motivates the new organizational approach: Virtual Enterprises, which is the main tool for achieving the highest levels of reconfiguration dynamics. Manufacturing Systems based on Virtual Enterprise is a new paradigm for the Future.

The course is specially developed for all researchers connected within I*PROMS partners and associated partners, including PhD and PhD students. This training course will prepare participants to understand the concept of Virtual Enterprises, Virtual Enterprise based Manufacturing Systems and the phenomena of Dynamic Reconfiguration needs and tools, to prepare participants to identify critical success factors and to design underlying architectures to enable Dynamic Reconfiguration of inter-enterprise Manufacturing Systems.
